If you’re in the Denver area and have a dog, it’s pretty likely that you’ve looked for services that have to do with your dog; Denver dog grooming, boarding, accessories, etc. After all, we all want the best for our furry friend, and we want to treat them well. They are loyal to us and deserve it.
And if you’ve looked around, you may have noticed the different services available for your dog and the price ranges, as well.
But, if you’re going to spend money on dog grooming services, it’s important to know what you can expect for your money – and not settle for less.
Most grooming services should include brushing and a bath. That’s the minimum. A trim of the hair around your dog’s face, feet and their tail is also important. Nail trimming is also common and very useful, as is ear cleaning. You may choose to have your dog fully groomed, which would be an all-around hair clipping. And, most places will add a perfume and bandana or some sort of accessory to the end.
Some less common, but available and useful services are teeth brushing and cleaning. Special shampoos can be ordered if your dog needs to get rid of a skunk smell, or has fleas or ticks in its fur. You can also get a coat de-shedding, which will let you enjoy brushing and bathing your dog at home without so much mess!
Watch for hidden fees that may be applied if your dog is hyperactive or doesn’t behave well, as well as fees if your dog is extra dirty. Make sure you know the groomer’s policies about early drop off, etc. to avoid other fees.
At the end of the grooming session, your dog should look good, smell good, and you shouldn’t be broke, either! It’s just a matter of finding the correct groomer.
